200 years Prix de Rome in the Netherlands

The Prix de Rome is the oldest and most generous national prize for artists and architects in the Netherlands. This year the Prix de Rome celebrates its second centenary in our country. Are you curious about the colourful history and unique cultural heritage which the prize has generated?

200 years Prix de Rome will be celebrated with an event spanning eight months, consisting of a television documentary, an anniversary publication, a retrospective exhibition and a series of lectures. The event will end on a festive note with a ceremony at the awarding of the PRIXDEROME.NL 2009.
